Privacy Policy for SettleTab

SettleTab (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use the SettleTab mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Personal Information

  • Account Data: When you sign up, we collect your email address and unique username via Supabase Auth.
  • Profile Data: We may store your payment handles (e.g., Venmo, CashApp) to facilitate bill sharing.
  • Payment Data: We use RevenueCat to process subscriptions. We do not store your credit card details; they are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

1.2 User Content

  • Receipt Images: We process images of receipts you capture or upload. These images are processed via automated OCR to extract line items and prices.
  • Transaction Data: We store the splits, items, and participant assignments you create.

1.3 Device & Usage Data

  • Push Notifications: We use OneSignal to send notifications. This requires a unique device identifier.
  • Crash Reporting: We may collect anonymized crash logs to improve app stability.

2. How We Use Information

  • To provide the core receipt splitting and multiplayer functionality.
  • To manage your subscription and Pro features.
  • To send relevant notifications regarding group splits.
  • To improve our OCR accuracy and app performance.

3. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with service providers necessary for app functionality:

  • Supabase: Database and Authentication.
  • RevenueCat: Subscription management.
  • OneSignal: Push notifications.
  • Google Play Services: App distribution and core Android functionality.

4. Your Rights & Data Deletion

4.1 In-App Deletion

You can update your profile information or delete your account at any time within the app settings (Profile > Delete Account). Deleting your account will remove your personal profile data, authentication records, and associated payment handles from our active databases immediately.

4.2 Web Request for Deletion

If you no longer have the app installed or wish to request data deletion via the web, you may do so by:

  • Sending an email to dev.team@splitsnap.in with the subject “Data Deletion Request”.
  • Including your registered email address and/or username.

Requests are processed within 7 business days. Once processed, all personal data associated with your account is permanently purged from our systems.

5. Security

We use industry-standard security measures, including Row-Level Security (RLS) and encrypted transmissions, to protect your data.
